Nutrition: The process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health, metabolism and growth.

There are three main nutrients(Macronutrients) that your body needs a lot of to run at its optimal level: Fats, Protein, Carbohydrates. Try to consume all three with each meal to maintain proper metabolism.

Fat: Is a major source of energy in the diet. Dietary fat contains nine calories per gram, which is more than twice the number provided by carbohydrates or protein. Some fat is essential to proper body function. Fat fills adipose tissue that helps to insulate the body. Fat helps the body absorb certain vitamins. Healthy skin and hair are also maintained by fat.

Protein: One of the three nutrients used as energy sources (calories) by the body. Proteins are essential components of the muscle, skin, and bones. Proteins provide 4 calories of energy per gram.

Carbohydrates: Mainly sugars and starches, together constituting one of the three principal types of nutrients used as energy sources (calories) by the body. Carbohydrates provide 4 calories of energy per gram.
